Very well documented introductions - you write so vividly! I'm sure Steve will settle in just fine...was there any type of idea given as to how old he is? I know you mentioned he was found outside, but...

Steve has a natural talent. I didn't solicit this in any way the first time. But I've been encouraging it because it's ADORABLE. I hope I can eventually encourage it into a little spin before he gets his treat!

A little dog! I just love when they stand up like that. My first pig, Tulip (RIP), used to stand on her little hind legs.

Roy is an unsolicited two-legger too. It's one of his many good traits. :)

Such a ridiculously cute pig.

Brace yourself because sometime he's going to want a treat and you're going to say no because he's being greedy. As you walk away, Steve will stand up and look far too adorable and you'll melt into a little puddle of squee. Stephen used to wrap me round his paw with that move. :)

Steve is already pretty darn cute. And with the obvious and significant exception of his relationship with VickieWhiskers, I think he's fitting in. I found him sitting next to Cici under the condo today, actually touching. And when I took him out and zipped him up in my sweatshirt, he pancaked completely and snoozed. And THEN when he woke up, he waddled around and wiped boar stank all over my t-shirt. I think I've been approved-of.

And then! Then there's this little ball of trouble.

Image
As you can see, this is a male hamster who ended up at the city shelter. Only that's not a hamster. Eventually a staffer figured it out and called SlaveToFuzzy and she called me to ask if I could host for a few days. No problem, right? I don't have room for a boar and I'm in love with Mr. Steve!

Image
Of course the first thing I did -- well, after a cursory glance confirmed that this was not actually a hamster -- was flip it over and poke the bits, as it were. And as I'm relatively inexperienced, then I poked some more. Then I took some porny photos and sent them to SlaveToFuzzy. She agreed that I was in trouble, because Lil Pouf here is female.

Vet check on Tuesday. After that decisions will be made. In the meantime, name suggestions are welcome! I think we've gotta go with "Butterbean" as a last name, so what works with that?
