I am sorry to hear she is dealing with teeth problems. I hope the eventual removal goes well.

Thanks!

This is why I like some decent weight on pigs. Yuyu lost 1/3 of her weight!

Yuyu was hub's friend and although she liked me, she preferred hub. Since her issues started, she has now become my best friend. Never had a pig who was so grateful for being treated and fed. She loves me to bits now, it's so rewarding. She sings happily when I grab her, snuggles me closely when being fed, makes happy noises when she gets extra grub, purrs contently when she is put back in the cage.

Fun part of her routine is when she sniffs my mouth after I take a sip of coffee when she's being fed. She is very interested in coffee, lol.

Yuyu started had more difficulties eating, so the vet upped her Tramadol dosage. Hopefully, we hit the correct dosage this time.

Do you have any idea how long you have to wait until surgery?

Sending warm and peaceful thoughts your way. Hug the little girl(s) for me.

He has 2 piggies on wait for 2 years, as it can grow so slow. He says Tramadol offers no issues and getting used to the dosage, it's just finding the right dosage so she eats well on her own. I agree that if she is already in this much pain before surgery, she will not even eat hand fed after pulling the teeth, so waiting for the roots to grow further down to address them from the root up is the best in her case.

It again took several days before the new dosage set in, but she eats well enough on her own to maintain weight, wew. She was 1285g, now 745, poor girl!
