SlaveToFuzzy was, of course, absolutely right. Dr. A said, "So, um, I can tell that she's a girl, because she doesn't have a penis." Then she looked like at me like I was nuts. But you guys remember Didi, right?? I didn't make that up!!

So I went home and got dinner ready. And when Cici and Steve were dancing around waiting for their lettuce, I surprised them by throwing something extra in too!

Steve said "Mmm, dinner!" Cici was seriously interested in Truvy Pouf's butt. And Truvy said "Oh, we're supposed to EAT this stuff?" and began immediately. Action shot:

A quiet moment. Could Cici actually have maternal instincts lurking in there somewhere?

This is a picture of Truvy Pouf straight-up snatching hay out of Cici's mouth, 20 minutes after they met.

Looks like intros went well and yah for Truvy enjoying her new family in her forever home. Can't wait to see more photos as she blossoms.

Aw, she just needed some big pigs to show her what's what. Snowflake activate! Truvy is brave to snatch from Cici though - I'm quite surprised Cici put up with it given she wasn't the most mother-y of mothers before and this isn't even her kid.

Well it's not over til it's over, and there has been A LOT of whining and bickering and rumbling all night. When I went to bed, Cici was purring at Steve and muttering things about R E S P E C T. But this morning Steve is serial-humping Cici and she's back in demented dog toy mode. Lil Pouf has lots to say, as far as I can tell all amounting to "Whoa!" But not in a scared way. Just interested in new things. I took her out and checked her over for nips or trauma and she was wiggly and calling out to them, ready to go back and fight the peril, just like Cici v. the lettuce last week.

Maybe Cici just wanted a strong female baby! I mean, it's not ENTIRELY fair to judge her for her mothering instincts when she was barely months old herself. She did feed the babies and didn't reject or hurt them. She was just a baby too. I look back at the pictures and it really is like Snick had three pups following him around, and one of them just happened to be nursing the other two. He was such an amazing dad!

Steve's reaction will be interesting too. He hasn't said "I am Top Pig and I will take you under my wing," but then, he isn't necessarily Top Pig, no matter how much he humps Cici. Most importantly, I think, his reaction has been non-aggressive to Truvy. It was like, "Huh. Lots of changes in the last 10 days, man!" and then back to the hay. It has clearly pushed some buttons between the two bigger pigs, but neither of them appears interested in smacking Lil Pouf around. So we'll go with it for now!
