Miss Molly is a sweet older girl (4 years) looking for the same. Her interests include: being bossed around, yelling for her dinner, sharing a salad, and running around in circles.

Your place or hers, this girl needs company!

One of my guinea pigs passed away two weeks ago, leaving Molly lonely and in need of a friend. I've looked all over the internet and all the locally available pigs are either male or too young. Molly has always had other older pigs as companions, and is pretty sad about not having another pig around. (And I don't want a baby pig, Molly would be fine with a younger buddy)

I am open to rehoming, but i'm going to be very particular - this is about getting Molly the RIGHT home. I've got boatloads of pig stuff, so not being set up isn't an issue, and I'm happy to mentor anyone interested and new to guinea pigs. Ive got lots of experience with introductions if you've already got a pig.

You might want to put up a picture. People love pictures!

Ditto. If you have difficulty posting a pic, let us know and someone will help.

We have an active member in Edmonton iirc. If I can remember who it is, perhaps they would know of a friend for Molly. I'll try to think of who it is.

I made a cute collage for my ads, but forgot to add it.

Pretty girl!

In the meantime, look this over if you haven't already:

You could ask around at cavy-knowledgeable vets in your area:

Vets sometimes (often?) have unwanted pets dumped on them, or know people looking to rehome pets.

Here's one Edmonton member; you can email them through the mailer here:

I completely understand not wanting a baby. In one way that's a good thing. Adult pets are often harder to place and can end up languishing in shelters and rescues.

Good luck to you and Molly, whether you find her a companion or a good new home.
