And meanwhile the petstores keep selling fresh pigs.

That vision of the pigs in jeeps and SUVs reminds me of the Squirrel Lady at a roadside stand in the movie Rat Race. The one who directed people miles out of their way, into the middle of nowhere, until they sailed over a hidden cliff to nosedive into a heap of other trashed cars, right next to a sign that read "You should have bought a squirrel!"

Briana, are those in addition to all the black and white ones from Sept? Poor pigs. Can´t they give them a box for a house? They are going to hurt each other. I agree... poor little frightened pigs. Tears at my heart.

Yup, thats in addition to all those black and white ones. There were two hutches of new ones, it looked like there was 30-40 of them. There were so scared but settled down once they were held close and felt safe. I was trying to find some boxes for them to hide in but there wasn´t anything around that was clean.
I must say I am very proud of this SPCA. When most SPCA´s would have put those 350 to sleep, they kept them and still have them ten months later.

Yes, it is quite commendable that they have cared for them for so long. I can´t believe they have that many more. Do you know where the new ones came from? I hope they all find forever homes.

All I know is that some lady brought them all in at the same time. I know Teresa said that they are a variety of breeds and from a few different litters and generations of litters. I hope they find forever homes too. Preferably a couple with me hehe.

In Bri´s photos, they look like mostly Americans although the Monterey lady also described some abby´s and possible long hairs.

The Peruvian Mom and Baby I took home last Saturday -- well, upon closer examination of the baby, she has a deformed eye. I´ll post a photo when I get a chance. She seems to get around just fine, but I think the sight in one eye is probably just limited to light. Poor thing.

Oh, no. Maybe that´s part of why the others died. There were probably congenital problems you didn´t even know about. All these poor animals.

Teresa, I did see a few abby´s. They were all huddled on top of each other so it was kind of hard to see what kind they all were.
