Immaculate conception?
I took my piggy Coco to the vet 3 days ago as her urine was orange and she had a constantly dirty bum/underbelly (suspected UTI) was given antibiotics and less than 24 hours later she began bleeding and passing bloody tissue, took her back to the vet and was told to go to an exotics specialist so i took her the same day as advised and also took the tissues that she had passed to show the specialist and she was convinced that what she had passed was placenta (2 of them) now the problem is there is no way she could have been pregnant and even the vet said a pseudo pregnancy will not produce placenta. She is 1.5 yrs old never been pregnant, she is housed with another female and they've been together for their whole lives. There are NO males whatsoever. If anyone knows anything please help! She is going back to the specialist in 2 days, she's a bit lethargic but still eating small amounts. I'm really afraid to lose her as my other piggy is attached to her and I couldn't bare to lose both of them.

Howdy, I'm not in Sydney but there is a great cavy vet Dr David Vella there, could you perhaps see him? Here is a GL link https://www.guinealynx.info/records/view ... 336cdd565a to Australian vets. Dr Vella has a web page, perhaps he and your vet could work together? Get your vet to email/ring him and send pictures of the bloody tissue Coco passed.
I hope you find out what the problem is with Coco, perhaps next vet visit take both piggies in so both can be checked over and their sex compared with eachother. Keep us posted as it sounds strange to me. To lose bloody tissue is a lot for a piggy, try and keep her warm, give fluids, if concerned take to the vet ASAP.

I am so sorry to hear about your guinea pig. She sounds very ill. An xray could show if she has an infection of the uterus (pyometra) or if any stones were present (you mentioned a suspected UTI.
What antibiotic was given? Was it one of the safe ones?

Thank you for your responses, unfortunately the vet took the specimens and disposed of them and I didn't really smell anything just blood. She taking Baytril so it is safe I did ask if she should continue the antibiotics and was told yes in case of secondary infection. Yes I am taking both of them in tomorrow to 'double check' and I'm happy to say she is starting to eat a lot more with A LOT of coaxing and TLC. I did ask the vet again if my other guinea pig is a female then what? She told me she will have to do an emergency hysterectomy as she could have tumors, but fingers crossed and hoping for the best. Thanks again everyone I will post back tomorrow and let you know what's going on with Coco
UPDATE
Just got back from the vet, confirmed the other piggy is female. Checked over Coco and the vet was happy with her progress her 'girly parts' look normal again, urine normal, no more bleeding or hardening of the uterine lining. Only concern is her eating at the moment vet has taken her off Baytril and put her on Bactrim for the next 10 days, not in the clear yet but if all goes well she should be back to normal. HUGE relief I really thought she was going to operate after seeing the other female. Vet has 40 years of experience with guinea piggies and hadn't seen a case like Coco's. I guess she is one of a kind LOL.
THANK YOU for all your help and well wishes it is most appreciated. xxxx

Is Coco on a Probiotic? Piggies on Antibiotics should always be on Probiotic's to protect their tummies. https://www.guinealynx.info/probiotics.htmlOnly concern is her eating at the moment vet has taken her off Baytril and put her on Bactrim for the next 10 days,
