Just the Gen is enough. Some companies aren´t very creative when naming their products. There aren´t that many drugs that the veterinary community uses regularly on eyes. Gentocin is one of the more common ones, although we still can´t get Gentocin Durafilm in Northern California. I wonder if they´re coming out with something else. I even know vets who used it for nasal scopes on dogs. A wonder drug for the right usage, I tell you.

Another site seemed to list 3% gentamicin sulfate as the ingredient in gentamicin ophthalmic.

Yeah, I think it´s fine. The most important thing is to heal the eye. If there was a huge problem with your med Josephine would have mentioned it.

Yes, it´s fine. Lynx: They´re all close enough. They aren´t all exactly chemically the same, but for our purposes, they´re the same drug.
