This has to be frustrating. I certainly hope it does give her some relief soon.

I'm not expecting much. Dr. Powell, who she saw last night probably thinks I have that Munchausen by Proxy (sp?) syndrome! He took her in the back, put her in a cage and observed her for a while. He said she peed and didn't cry. I just looked at him and said "I swear she's been crying when peeing over the past 18mths!. She did it in the waiting room before we got called in!".

Every once in a while I get to observe her pee without pain. Figures she didn't cry in front of him.

It's normal for her to hide her pain in a stressful environment. Typical pig reaction.

You don't strike me as someone who would make this up. You strike me as someone who WISHES they were making it up so you could just WISH it all away.

Have you used meloxicam for this kind of pain?

We all could've predicted that reaction.

Is Meloxicam the same as Metacam?

Okay, then we've tried it twice. First dose was small. The recent dosage to give her is .35 once/day.

I was WISHING it was a bladder stone! At least then someone could tell me what it was and it could be fixed.

She's been through 5 surgeries and anesthesia 8 times. If she had a bladder stone I would have expected her to sail right through the surgery.

Anway, she and Sophie turn 5 in 2 weeks. Anybody want to come to their birthday party???
