Possibly pregnant and I need ADVICE...
Thanks for all your kind comments. I was concerned about mum as,although she was eating, she just didn't seem right. Just got back from the vets and it turns out she has an abscess on her off hind leg. The vet said that this could have been causing her such pain that the birth sort of 'tipped her over the edge' so she killed her babies (but that I got to her before she killed the last one). I feel sad that this may have been the case as it could've been prevented had I been there when she went in to labour.
I got up during the night to check on mum and she was not looking good. Not moving at all and her breathing had become very laboured. Called the vets and they told me to bring her in. He gave her something to try and pick her up but wasn't hopeful. I brought her home and she died on my lap about 5 mins ago. This is such a sad end to what should have been a happy time...

I’m so sorry for your losses. I eagerly clicked on this thread to make sure someone had answered your question about the baby’s size. I didn’t expect to find such heartbreak. Losing all the babies is hard enough. To lose Spiderpig too is almost unimaginable. Pregnancy is so hard on guinea pigs. Give extra hugs and kisses to poor Fiddles.

I'm sorry mom and babies didn't make it, they were so beautiful.
Your male should be ok with lots of attention from his humans. Maybe search out a UK rescue center near you to adopt a friend for him. I'm sure some of our UK members could help you if you post your general location. Maybe even start a thread in the placement section with your search.
Hugs to you and Fiddles.
ETA: The little baby looks normal to me. I've had little 2 ounce babies survive nicely. Unfortunatly, doesn't sound like you got mom in time to give her good pre-natal care. Even with the best care at times, this can happen too. Guinea pig pregnancy is so hard on the mom's.
