I wanted to give a small review/opinion of this guinea pig care book. It is the first and only guinea pig book I have bought, and I don't recommend it be the book you rely on to give you the most accurate information.

The Bad
I feel much of the care information is old fashioned, and does not reflect what we all agree is best for our pigs today. Especially the housing information.

The Good
However I would reccomend it if you want to learn more about guinea pig illnesses, body language, noises, colors and patterns, or breeds. For these things I think it is helpful. There are also many nice pictures in the book.

So, for the well being of your pig, I say read guinea lynx! To learn more about guinea pigs as a species, this can be a decent guide.

I ought to add a review of this book to my reviews page! Thanks for writing one. I have a few books reviewed here:

p.s. I bought a copy of your book and agree with much of your advice. I am always sad when reading breeding advice (which they include) :-(

Wow, all I have to say is that the little piggy on the bottom left is cute beyond words.
