I know this isn't Guinea Pig topic, but this is pretty important to me....

I know maybe some of you know this by now, but I have 6 ratties. 4 girls, and 2 boys. The 3 girls just went into surgery to get spayed and Delilah couldn't have surgery because we found out she is sick..... :( Delilah is now on medicine and I'm hoping she will get better soon...... Then, Claire, the smallest one of the 6, is pulling and playing with her stitches.... Mom and dad tried to make her a sweater out of an ipod cover (It was pretty cute actually :)), but she could just slip out of it and just starts playing with her stitches again, and now the small little baby has to go back into surgery again..... (I know what your thinking, we have some bad ratties :)), but just hope that Delilah will be okay and that little Claire, when she gets done with her surgery for the 2nd time, will stop playin with her stitches!!!! Does anyone else know anything that we could really use to put around Claire where she won't slip out of it??

I'm sorry about your ratties.

One thing I found when bandaging my guinea pig's foot was I could make a "cuff" out of a non-stretchy material. So long as it is not too tight and does not cut off circulation, it might be possible to do something like that with the sweater. The non-stretchy material I used was an adhesive bandaging material (don't know if it's on this page but I'll add a link: www.guinealynx.info/bandaging.html ).

I'm not real familiar with rat profiles so if there is no real tummy, it might not work :-(

Good wishes!

That might work. :D Thanks Lynx. Claire is going into the vets again today for stitches. I will tell my mom when she gets back that we can use bandage. Thanks again!!
