I absolutely don't condone the violence, but I can understand the outrage.

A group for social change is scheduled to have a peaceful protest tomorrow at our County courthouse. I am considering going.

Ditto.

One of the most horrifying incidents recorded. A murder committed so cavalierly.

That would be great if you could go, sef. There have been so many murders of Black people lately. As a fellow runner, the death of Ahmed Aubrey hit me particularly hard.

I’m in Minnesota and Mr. Floyd’s death is so heartbreaking. The arrogance of those officers to be so brutal was frightening. There are protests all over the state. I’m not in the Minneapolis area but my friend works at a hospital down there. Pharmacies were looted, stores were closed and boarded up, and the hospital staff had to evacuate with an escort from the sheriff’s department. So patients can’t get their prescriptions or COVID tests. My friend was pretty shook when she got home.

Powerful song from the Chicks (dropped the Dixie).

Per wikipedia:
On June 25, 2020, the band changed their name to the Chicks, dropping "Dixie",[99] which referenced the American Mason–Dixon line, separating the free and slave-owning southern states. The name change followed criticism that the word had connotations of American slavery.[99] The band received blessing from a singing duo of the same name from New Zealand to share its name with the band thanked a duo for allowing them.[99][100] Alongside the name change, the band released the protest song "March March" with a music video, in tribute to social justice movements.[99] The band also announced that they are now managed by John Silva.[101]

I heard they dropped the Dixie too.

Great video. Useful links at the end too.

It seems this will never end. I hate that some people are not treated like humans. I hope the cop who shot Jacob Blake goes to jail. Trevor Noah is one of my heroes (a voice of reason).

I applaud the response from the Milwaukee basket ball team and from other teams around the country.

Something has to change and change now.

Nothing will ever change as long as trump is in office, stoking the fires of fear and hatred.

Once he is out of office (the sooner the better - he should resign in disgrace!), we can try to figure out how to do this right.

Work has already been done to imagine how this can be accomplished:

I agree with you 100%. I think it should be required viewing for everyone.
