dosage for chloramphenicol palmitate for guinea pigs?
Hi! I think It's already been 3 weeks since my guinea pig first had head tilt. Panacur sort of worked, at least he's better than before, he gets to eat on his own now. But his head still tilts and he's having a hard time balancing.
We went to another vet for second opinion (actually in our case it's 3rd opinion hehe). So our new vet examined my guinea pig from head to toe, checking his spine, his eyes, feet, even took an ear swab for examination. She suspects middle ear infection, and gave us meloxicam syrup as pain reliever and chloranphenicol otic drops for the ears. medication for 2 weeks and then suggested to go back for updates.
He's doing great by the way, just a little head tilty and wobbly, but it looks like he'll be getting better soon this time. :)
