And in Other Trump News & Weather...

This is a USA Today editorial from 2016, but it's still accurate and concisely spells out why Trump is unfit to be President.

Ditto to all of the above. sef, I think his hard core base have simply turned their minds off. Truly cult-like.
We're looking at genocide of the Kurds - horrors! AND we were the force keeping ISIS fighters imprisoned. They'll be free to leave. Smart move.
Pat Robertson, of all people, came out yesterday against Trump's action. Because the Kurds are protecting the religious freedom of Christians living there.
"If only the trump lovers could see that they too have and will be thrown under the bus in small and large ways." - reminds me of:
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

My husband has repeated the same soliloquy to me. Sobering.
Boss is just about the nicest guy you'd care to meet. Kind hearted, trusting to a fault. And not stupid. But where Trump is concerned, he has a major blind spot. Won't listen to the facts or even consider the possibility that Trump is a con man and a thoroughly vile piece of crap. I overheard him having a heated discussion with another one of our executives today (another die-hard Republican) who had said that Trump frightens him and he'd almost rather vote for Bernie rather than risk another 4 years with this maniac. My boss got irate and yelled, "How can you go from voting for someone who is actually trying to do something about illegal immigration and all the other big issues that Obama wouldn't touch, to voting in favor of Socialism??!!!" I couldn't hear the response, but I found that very troubling.
I have to think it's one of three things (or some combination) for most Trump supporters: 1) greed; 2) racism; 3) gullibility/ignorance.

Good article from the Washington Post:
Trump’s impeachment defense boils down to this: Treat me like a king

Perfect analysis of what's happening.
I follow this guy's tweets because he usually lifts my spirits and he's got good legal credentials (msnbc analyst, former 30-yr federal prosecutor, etc.). However things are so bad that it's not working for me today:

There is a lot of blame to go around. Trump is a child with lots of money and power, it just happened, but he's not the only spoiled brat to F this thing up. Most of the blame I think goes to George jr.
We could all be booking vacations in Iraq had that babbling idiot not dismantled Iraq's military and security apparatus. It should be a beautiful place rebuilt with oil money and us paid back with that money also. The Iraqi military needed, had to be a part of the new Government and anyone with a 90 IQ would have known that.
It amazes me though how one moron(Bush) says "hey guys we're going to dismantle the Iraqi military tomorrow" and all of Washington starts whooping it up, back slapping the great idea.
BTW and just for the heck of it my friend Como and I are somewhere on record as saying that what Bush did was the stupidest thing we could have done to Iraq. Really, on the record. We got drunk and wrote a letter. Not sure where the letter ended up, we couldn't remember the next day where we mailed it.
