I have a male Guinea pig age 4 who has a seriously inflated ear. He seems to be fine but his ear is very warm and is sensitive to touch. What is going on? Should I bring him to a vet?
I do not recall a guinea pig with this condition but suspect it is similar to what might happen to a dog.
This page describing a similar condition in a dog in great detail (for causes and treatment) indicates you should see a vet asap and get this likely hematoma drained. The underlying condition may be an ear infection.

Merck's veterinary manual online describes several causes, a hematoma or bug bite may be the most likely:

What Lynx said. It needs to be drained and tacked back together so it won't happen again. It's not a bad procedure, but does need to be done.

Good luck at the vet. Hope all goes well.

Ditto all the advice you have received. Their ear flaps are pretty tough. Once drained and cleaned up (some antibiotics may be needed), it should heal up just fine.
Best to you and your pig. Please let us know how he's doing.
