Thank you for an answer, informations and good wishes.

We have this guinea queen fleece liners that are similar than guinea dad. I tough about to put it something under it or on it as you described.

Bedding is defenetly our weakness as vet also saw so i would like to use this as you wrote in a way to not have too much smell and to work .. we will change it a lot, for sure.
We will report and ask for advices again if we will need:)
Another urine check is scheduled for 19.5 + shilintong from the USA is coming tomorrow. YAY! As i wrote azythromicin is waiting in case of uri problems-luckily today she was making less sounds..

We re very grateful to have friends like you, it made us stronger!

I like the fleece pads for bedding. They’re easy to change and keep clean. I do have a lot of laundry to wash, though. Maybe I change them out more often than some people do. If they’re damp or smelly they go in the laundry. I have a lot of smaller pads that work well in the corners and under the hay pile.

Update on health issues:
UTI: urine smells just awful again, we re adding 20ml of water with benebac vit c and some cc. It seems quite a bit..i dont know how much morew ater you can add. We will add some shilintong in the mix but very careful since Win is extreamly sensitive-Irie didnt have any problems with it.
Urine control on dog clinic at thursday, so:
22.5 :
Leucocytes:
Blood erytrocites:
Bacteria:
I will update
But other than shilintong for 14 days, bactrim or additional diagnostic with some exotic vet, i dont know..other than that dog vet said last time it s infection, anyway in her oppinion.

URI symptoms(she has some chronic pneumonial uri issues since november 2024, enterococcus casa something:p identified..)anyway..
Sounds from lungs currently mild/ to middle not a lot or severe.
Bacteria is reacting on azythromicyn and marbocyl with gentamicin, but she s been off ab since februar 2025.
Fleece beeding change so far so good..its somehow working even we re really not use to it..we re really trying to introduce i t slowly, keep fleece clean, wash it in right programe in washing machine etc). It s too early too tell how much it will be helping her we will report in couple of weeks.
She s been on camera a lot so i can see what she s doing on fleece, i am checking it now at work.

Legs: first stage of bumbleefoot..chronic redness without bloat or whatever..same as it was when we got her pretty much..we tried mupirocin and bepanthen but it only helped to some degree..we will try else if needed..

So we will report urine results on thursday..please keep fingers crossed despite it doesnt look good, so y ou cant expect something really g ood.

Fleece report coming in three weeks we will see if there is anychanges, but of course it would be too good to be true if she would stop making sounds from lungs cause of change of beding..so we dont think of anything, just wanna improve things. We always have ABs, cause this bacterias
keeps on attacking us!
And i am such a severe coffee additct this year...just to keep Win and Zig happy and my job..jesus christ! but there you go:)

You are so thorough caring for Winnie. I’m glad you are having success with fleece. It works well for me but creates a lot of laundry.

I don’t know what goes on with urine smell. I think how much moisture they get in their food and how much they drink also affects smell. Ruby guzzles water, no smell in her cage. Millie was more smelly and she didn’t drink much water.

Urine results:
Leukocytes: not seen
Blood-eritroc. : only very little bit
Bacterias: sticks like not seen, coccus a lot
She will try with shilintong short course and maybe bactrim-:dog vet will get it for her.
I dont think she needs any additional diagnostics now so thats very good:)

We have question regarding pellets.
Gallis favourite was oxbow, Lee s was selective, Irie s was CAvia complete..Kluiverka had some jr farm ones..
Winnie s is Cavia NAture..but she aint too much of pellet eater and is small guinea pig anyway..however we will try oxbow and will order it via ebay. Is better garden select or essential for adult gp?
We usually have at home at least three different typs of pellets so we re never in crisis..
And we run out of benebac so long wait is infront of us:)

Mine preferred Oxbow Essential. The Garden Select weren’t favorites, even though I thought they smelled so good - like fresh herbs. I tried mixing them together. My pigs sorted through the pellets and left the Garden Select.
