Those signs point to stones. But I'm pretty sure you know that.

Thanks Lynx. Jay lost 80grams over night. One dose of Meloxicam has made her stop eating and poops mooshie. Trying to syringe feed more and watching closely. Noticed she has lost a bit of bladder control too.

Remember BOTH Jewel and Jay are suffering with this. Noticed first Jay then Jewel when they poop there is mucus but in it it is tinged with blood. With Jewel I put it down to her mushy poops and tender intestines because of it.

This is something new for them both. Is it a UTI or something more sinister? Medication Jay Meloxicam and Pron8ure once a day.

Jewel Metamide and Charcoal twice a day, Vitamin C and Pron8ure once a day. I noticed it last night. Thanks in advance. Jay put weight back on but still seems to have less bladder control. She did eat a little overnight too.

Odd that they would both have this. I would think bacteria or virus that is contagious or something in the food.

Jay has no bladder control! Touch her girlie part just dribbles out-UTI?, Bladder?, Stones?, Girlie parts like uterus etc?, Or pelvis or disc? Everytime she comes out to be fed she is drenched On belly in urine! At least she is eating and happy in herself. Thanks ItsaZoo.

Is this safe to use? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/39452572184 ... R-CLhs66Yg

Going to start Bactrim tonight to see if that helps. Advice much appreciated. Happy in herself, now eating and moving around.

I think the coconut oil is okay. There are no other ingredients.

Does Jay walk okay, no back issues that would indicate a spinal problem? I don’t know if a UTI would cause this but the Bactrim should help if that’s the case.

Is baby powder safe for piggies? I bought late last year puppy and kitten shampoo scented baby powder. I used it yesterday and Jay and Jewel. Smelt nice to me. Bath every syringe feed is really annoying Jay she keeps biting herself trying to dry off. Thanks ItsaZoo. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/26523578068 ... No.

Not safe for humans either, if you look at the lawsuits.

Could beeswax be used to protect her skin from the urine? Or this? https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/prod ... h-ointment

I would guess either of the shampoos would be okay. I wouldn’t use any scented shampoo - they don’t need fragrance and it might be an irritant.

The vet should have recommendations for creams or lotions to protect her skin.

Thanks ItsaZoo. Vet said Jay is producing too much urine which was white as milk and she is not passing the urine. There was no blood, but were nitrates. So keeping up with Meloxicam and Bactrim for now.

No gritty in urine nor crystals. Have just gotten Jay out for a feed and she was dry. After every feed for a while I have to gently milk her to help her get rid of some urine. Kidneys good too.

Nothing felt in abdomen. Just a big bladder full of urine. Keep you posted. Bought cream and shampoo. Will make changes slowly to her diet.
