Behavior changes when cage mates die
Hello, Previously I raised three pigs, male Win, 2 females Daisy and Sati. Everything is fine and the three children live in harmony with each other.
Nearly a week ago, Daisy got sick and died. The first 2 days nothing happened, on the third day Sati suddenly approached Win and bit it.
And the following days all happened like that and I have never seen this before in Sati. Did the loss of Daisy cause Sati's behavior to change? I separated Win from the cage to avoid him being bitten again.
What should I do now? Thank you

I'm sorry you lost Daisy.
Did Sati bite hard enough to make Win bleed? It's not uncommon for guinea pigs to bite each other, especially if one pig is really annoying the other. As long as Sati didn't draw blood, I wouldn't separate them. Losing one of their buddies can change the social interaction between guinea pigs, so it's possible they're trying to figure out how they live with each other without Daisy. But I would continue to keep an eye on them. If Sati gets aggressive all the time and attacks Win more often, then they might need to be separated. It may take a few weeks for them to settle into their new routine.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Along with this, look for any medical triggers like mites that might provoke unusual behavior (not knowing what is causing the pain).
